And what was the mysterious formula used by Professor Salafia? He died without revealing the formula, but modern analysis has discovered its ingredients. According to an article on nationalgeographic.com, Salafia used formalin (a mix of formaldehyde and water) to kill bacteria and stop its growth, alcohol to dry and harden the tissues, glycerin to keep the body somewhat supple and salicylic acid to prevent the growth of fungus.

So far, no one has ever replicated the incredible results that Salafia achieved. Dr. McDowell would be proud of him.
